CITY WARD BOUNDARIES

    Ward 1 corporate limits on the north; middle of N. Main, Lincoln, and Wood streets on the east; middle of Peoria Street/Washington Road on the south; middle of Gillman Avenue on the north and west; Dallas Road on the west.
   Ward 2 – corporate limits on the north and east; middle of Holland on the south; middle of Lincoln, N. Main, and S. Main streets on the west.
   Ward 3 – corporate limits on the south and east; S. Cummings Lane on the west; middle of Washington Road/Peoria Street and Holland on the north.
   Ward 4 – Corporate limits on the north, south, and west; middle of S. Cummings Lane, Gillman Avenue, and Dallas Road on the east.

GARBAGE COLLECTION
   
Please contact Grimm Bros. Trucking, Inc. at 444-8900 to start service. The City of Washington is under a residential waste collection contract with Grimm Bros. Trucking, Inc. Curbside recycling is also a part of the City’s contract. If you are moving into a home that has previously been occupied a recycling bin should be on site - if this is not the case you may pick up one bin at City Hall free of charge. Additional bins may be purchased for $12.50 each. Homeowners constructing new homes may also pick up their first bin free of charge. We do request when moving from a home that one recycling bin is left with the property for the next homeowner. All questions regarding your service should be directed to Grimm Bros.. The rate for basic service (trash collection and recycling) is:  10/1/2007 - 9/30/2008 $9.25/per month and 10/1/2008 - 9/30/2009 $9.50/per month.

CITY WATER & SEWER BILLS
   
City water and sewer bills are mailed quarterly. Bills can be paid at City Hall and Washington State Bank. Some residents may receive their water from North Tazewell Water Co., 699-1165 or Washington Estates Water Co., 694-1061. You may contact them for information.

GLENDALE CEMETERY – CITY OWNED AND OPERATED
   
Gravesites are available to residents at a cost of $450 per gravesite in Memorial Gardens area; $550 per gravesite in traditional upright area; $100 per gravesite in infant burial section. Contact City Hall for more information.
